I didn't have any errands to run while Gavin was at school so I decided it was going to be a stay-at-home day with Liam. I asked him what he wanted to do with mommy & he shouted, "Make cookies!". So that's what we did. I have to say, that this boy is kind of obsessed. We tease that he is the 'real' cookie monster. Haha! (JT & Jimmy video clip) But really though, I think Liam would eat cookies 24/7 if we let him.
So that really cool vintage looking measuring cup in the front is just that. Really cool. It was my moms & I remember using it as a child while helping my mom bake cookies & all sorts of things. My mom was always really good at letting me help in the kitchen. Having this little measuring cup now in my possession brings lots of happiness to me. I know that sounds lame, but it's true. I'll always have a smile on my face while using it and teaching my children how to bake. :)
Watching it all mix together is "so cool Mom". And the best part of making cookies is...
Tasting the dough! Mmmmmhhhhmmmm good!
When I put my apron on he wanted to wear one too. He is so stinking cute it kills me.
Yes, we did manage to actually bake some to share with brother & Dad when they get home. I love spending one on one time with my boys. It doesn't happen nearly enough & that's something I need to work harder on doing. But I'll relish in the moments I do get/make & hold them dear to my heart.

YAYYYYY!!! You updated!! So fun getting all caught up! Now let's see if I can remember all my thoughts.... Loved the post about your parents visit! It honestly made me so happy seeing you all together again and reading about how happy it made you! And so funny about your dad climbing in the back of the car! My dad has done that in our car too! Haha!!
Liam getting naked at the museum!!! Oh my gosh I would have died!! Hahaha! He's a funny one!
Love the vintage measuring cup! So special! You're a good Mama to continue the tradition!
I thought it was funny how you said Gavin didn't look back on his first day of school and neither did you! Ha! Sounds like me! ;)
Chocolate Chips are my favorite cookies to eat and make. I must have made thousands, maybe tens of thousands of cookies for you kids and your friends when you were growing up.
