A Long Weekend

We were so excited that Dad took Thursday off so we could have a long weekend as a family. We decided to start it off right by going to the beach. We haven't really been to the beach as a family in what feels like a long time. We loved having Dad there to play with & soak up some sun & waves.

 Summer Selfie with my boy Gavin. These boys really are such a blast to go to the beach with. They love playing in the sand & swimming in the waves. As long as the waves aren't too big that is.

  

 I couldn't help but notice that I have been getting a lot more freckles since living down here in Florida. I've always loved my friends freckles & now I can say I have them too. :) 

That afternoon after naps we went to the mall to let the boys ride on the merry-go-round. They sure get a kick out of selecting just the right horse too. :)

It has been soooo hot outside lately so while the boys were out helping Doug in the yard he decided to let them cool off. There really is nothing that says 'summer' like a sprinkler under a trampoline. These boys had the time of their lives jumping around and slippin & slidin.

We are looking forward to celebrating our country's birthday tomorrow with friends. And to get myself in the patriotic mood, I painted my toes red, white & blue. This took FOREVER & will be a one time thing. Haha
