Valentines

We {heart} Valentines Day at our house. The week of Valentines was full of fun activities.

This year I decided to hold to a tradition that was my moms & make sugar cookies. I remember helping her as a child & the fun we had together getting messy & nibbling on all the frosting & sprinkles. The boys are at a great age where they are eager (a little too eager) to help me in the kitchen.

And I was pretty excited about using my new rolling pin I got for Christmas. It has the gauges on the ends to keep the dough uniform while rolling out. :)

I think they had more fun sneaking licks then they did decorating. :)

And I had a lot of fun being creative & decorating my own cookies.

I got to go into Gavin's classroom & help out with their Valentines lunch. They made heart shaped pizzas.

We went to our craft group Valentines party & read stories, passed out valentines & made a craft.

I 'musta-ache' you to be my valentine!

Valetine's Day Monrning

The boys woke up to find their mailboxes full of goodies. Coloring books, heart glasses, stuffed animal & a new book.

Gavin had to go to school so I decided to surprise him with a fun Valentines lunch. I made a peanut butter & honey sandwich & used a heart cookie cutter on the top piece of bread. Then just put sprinkles to fill in the hole. He told me after school that he LOVED his sprinkle sandwich. :)

 My lil heart breaker!
This is the valentine that the boys gave out this year. Lip whistles & kisses.

 My cute valentines.
Uncle Dave & Aunt Kimmi sent us a pic of their cute little valentines Xander & Quintin.
The boys & I really wanted to do something fun for Dad while he was at school. So we decided to fill up his car in the school parking lot with balloons. The pic he sent me when he found it was hysterical!!!

We had dinner as a family at home & I made our traditional heart shaped meat loaves, pink mashed potatoes & berry salad. Yum!
And another tradition that we've started is having chocolate fondue for dessert.
It's always a messy hit with these boys!
Laura was sweet & put the boys to bed so that Doug & I could go out on our date. I got us tickets to an Improv comedy show in Miami.
It was a lot of fun & we laughed a LOT! We had a great time doing something that was a little out of the ordinary. I sure love this man of mine & so glad he is forever my valentine. :) tee-hee!
