Favorite Things Party

Ever since my friend Megan threw a Favorite Things Party up in Buffalo a few years back, I've been wanting to do another one. It's such a fun twist on a girls night & a great way to get to know your friends a little better. So I mentioned it among my friends here & Michele (Megan's SIL haha) chimed in that she too has always wanted to do one. So the two of us got together & planned a fun favorites party to do with our friends. Can I just put it out there how much I love Pinterest & the secret boards that you can invite people to? It made planning with a second person soooo easy. Loved it. Anyways, here is the outcome of all our ideas. I think it all came together quite nicely if I say so myself. :)

In the entry way we had the girls' gift bags with their initial & names on them so they could collect their goodies.

We had each girl submit either their favorite treat or appetizer before hand & we made these cute recipe booklets for them to take home.

 For the food each girl brought that above mentioned recipe for us all to taste.

 Everything was sooo good! We had coconut popcorn, bean dip w/chips, carmelitas, cookie dough brownies, cinnamon muffin bites, sweet potato pudding, pineapple cheese ball, ham rolls, salsa roll ups & punch. 

 

 I just love using my milk bottles every chance I get. They are so cute!

 The table setting. At each setting we had a little Favorites Survey for everyone to fill out. 

I gathered them &  mixed them up & then read them all aloud as we tried to guess which card belonged to which girl. It was fun learning some new facts about each other & seeing a lot of similarities in all of us.

After we ate we started our little craft. Michele found this cute idea for a little personal kit to keep in your purse, diaper bag, car etc.

Getting our sew on. Haha! This was the easiest & perfect craft for all crafters & non crafters. Which we seemed to have a lot of self proclaimed ones. Lies, all lies.

Then we moved onto the gift exchange. I've done this exchange a few different ways, but we decided to go with the method that each girl got up, explained their 'favorite' & then drew 3 names & those 3 people received the gift. It worked out great! I'm telling ya there wasn't one thing on that table that I didn't want.

I'm so bummed that we didn't get a group shot before people started leaving. This night really was so much fun! I loved spending it with some of my favorite people & learning more about them. Can't wait to do it again.
