Dr. Seuss & other February Randoms

At Gavin's school they were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday all week. I am the cooking mom so I got to go into his class & help them make their snack for the day. We made individual Cat in the Hat's.
It's a chocolate donut covered in frosting with m&ms for the eyes & nose, sprinkles for the whiskers and then marshmallows & life savers for the hat. It was pretty cute.

And this guy is also pretty darn cute! Love him to pieces.

After snack I got to read to them our favorite Dr. Seuss book.

I always love going into Gavin's preschool class. It's so fun for me to see my little boy in his element among his classmates. And his classmates are pretty cool too. We sure are grateful that Gavin got into such a great class in a great school.

Liam has been successfully climbing out of his crib since Thanksgiving so we figured now that we were back from traveling it was time to transition him to a big boy bed. He was pumped about taking his crib apart & helping Dad.
Not too sure if Dad was feeling the same way about having that help. Haha!
Here he is all ready for his first night in his new bed. And he did great! He never came out for 4 solid nights. Then the discovery came that he could. We dealt with numerous exits from his room for a about a week & now he's all good. He still comes out, but a good threat of locking him in or taking his binki away does the trick. Oh the binki. That's our next hurdle to jump. Yikes.

With him in his new bed, it's been his naps that had a harder transition. He'd come out after his first sleep cycle, but still be soooo tired. One day he just cuddled up on me & fell back to sleep. I wasn't complaining because this never happens. I soaked it all in & loved every minute of it.

One Saturday afternoon we went to the movies with our friends the Trockels. We saw the new Lego movie. Not the best kid show, but not the worst either. The kids liked it anyhow.

Love this picture of these two. So cute!

We were at the splash pad one day & these three boys were off on the side being boys & diggin in some dirt. It was so precious watching them be boys & playing with sticks.

One Sunday Liam wasn't feeling 100% so we kept him out of Nursery. Doug had him & was tired of his whining so he told him to lay down & go to sleep. This is what he found a few minutes later. Haha! My boys don't sleep outside of their beds so he really must have not been feeling well to do this. PS. Gotta love his cowboy boots.

That evening he felt a little more rested because he was all smiles riding around on the balance bike.

And another sleeping picture. I just think they are so sweet & precious when they are sleeping. Haha! Is that bad of me to admit?
