As I was out running errands the first week of December I couldn't resist getting a salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks. Yum!
I take Liam to the library for story time now & then. This particular day he & his buddy Hayden were CRAZY! They were loud, running all over the place & at one point, the story teller said, "You know, you can take them out." AHHHH! We seriously just got kicked out of story time?! It was pretty embarrassing & funny at the same time.
Baking holiday cookies. YuM!
Gavin got his first canker sore. OUCH! He asked me to take a picture so he could look at it. :)
Gavin & Liam both love riding Lorenzo's motorcycle. The golf course is the perfect place for these boys to practice too.
Got to go out to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my friend Joslyn's 30th birthday. Sure love that girl & am so glad to have her as a friend.
Gavin loves helping Daddy. The task at hand was washing the cars. He did a really good job & loved using the power washer to get it clean. :)
I made lots of this Christmas popcorn for gifts this year.
Gavin's Preschool Christmas party. Complete with McDonald's happy meals. I guess the room mom finally figured it out that having a full feast for 4 year olds is ridiculous. (reference to their Thanksgiving party) This is my kind of party. :)

Saying goodbye to friends that move away is always hard. Our good friends the Trockels graduated from the Orthodontic program & were moving to Oklahoma. With the holiday travel approaching we had to say goodbye sooner then we would have liked. We have loved having the Trockels here as they were a year ahead of us & brought us much comfort in moving to a new place. Rozannah & I served in the primary presidency together & became good friends. Our children loved playing together & we knew that it would always be an adventure when we were with the Trockels. :) Oklahoma is lucky to get such an amazing family & they will be deeply missed.
We got together with the families for some pizza & to help load the trucks. It's so weird when the homes become empty. But it gave lots of space for the kids to run around. :)
The dads all took the kids home for bed & us ladies headed over to Allisa's house for one last GNO. We chatted the night away, ate goodies, but the best part was busting out the moves to Just Dance. Seriously the funnest game ever! We were all sweaty messes by then end too.
The day before we left for Utah was the last time we would see the Trockels. I knew that Rozannah hated goodbyes & probably would have tried to avoid it all costs, but I wasn't about to let that happen. So I loaded the kids up & drove over to her house. The kids ran around not having a clue that this was the last time they would see each other.
Even when we were making them give each other hugs & say goodbye.
I on the other hand was having a difficult time controlling the tears. Good friends really are such a blessing. And I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know this sweet family over the last 2 years. We knew them up in Buffalo, but it wasn't until we were here in Florida that the friendship truly grew to be what it was. I wish them all the best in their adventures & know they'll be happy & successful where ever they go.
