Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we met up with Danny & Whitney for some sledding.
The boys had a ball going off the little jump. Gavin did crash pretty good though & had a nice raspberry on his cheek. It was pretty slick snow/ice we were going down. He kept telling everyone how tough he was afterwards. Haha!

That afternoon we spent our time getting ready for the annual Shaw Family Christmas Eve Party. Its always a good time getting together with aunts, uncles & cousins.

We do dinner, read the Christmas story from the bible, play chimes & bingo. We try to add one new game a year.

Cousin Ashley was in charge this time & it was hilarious. I can't remember the name, but you & your partner draw a card that shows 2 body parts that must connect. You place the card between those body parts & you cannot drop it or you're out. All while continuing to draw & add cards to your bodies. It's freaking hilarious!

 Aunt Terri & Uncle Jeff
  Josh & Melissa

The ultimate champions Brady & his girlfriend. Haha!

The boys of course love the gift exchange. They got to help everyone open their presents.

 My three handsome boys.

After everyone left & we were finished cleaning up the party it was time to get ready for Santa. The boys got into their jammies & then Gavin put on his coat so he could go outside & sprinkle the reindeer food/glitter so that they knew where to stop.

They set out some cookies & milk for Santa too. Can you say excited?! Haha.
And then is was off to bed for these two kidlets.

"The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads."

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Oh man, that really was a pretty good raspberry that Gavin got!! Ouch! But fun to go sledding! We have two kids sleds and haven't gone since Buffalo :( And even in Buffalo we didn't really go. Just little Trav made slopes in the backyard.

That Christmas party looked fun! Especially the card game! I imagine it could get pretty awkward touching faces or something with someone that wasn't your spouse! ;)

Children really do make Christmas magical, don't they? With all their excitement and joy. So fun to have new traditions like leaving food for the reindeer (very cute)
