Summer Movie Fair

The movie theater has a Summer Movie Fair where they show a kids movie every week for $1. Or you can buy the 9 week pass for only $5. We didn't do it last summer because Liam was too young & was still taking multiple naps. But this year we were willing to give it a go. I knew Gavin would love it & do great. I was a little hesitant about how well Liam would sit & watch the movies. He loves movies at home, but he can roam around at his liking. So I loaded up on snacks & even hit up Target before hand for their cheap popcorn. Speaking of which, right when we were walking in & handing the manager our ticket, Gavin bursts out, "And we got popcorn...from TARGET!" Ah, SHHHHH Gavin was the only thing that I could think of to say. I was sooo embarrassed. The guy just told Gavin that he probably shouldn't be telling him that. So funny that he felt compelled to share that information. Oh well.

We got settled with our friends & the show began. They did great! I was shocked that Liam sat put for the entire show. I think it helped that it was Madagascar being so colorful & has lots of songs & music. This was Liam's first time ever going to a movie theater & I was pleasantly surprised at how well he did.

Gavin really wanted his picture taken next to Mike the green one eyed monster. This will be a fun movie to take him to in the future.

Week 2 of the Movie Fair was yesterday. They showed Rise of the Guardians. I had never seen it before so I quite enjoyed myself. The kids did good again. Liam was a little more wiggly, but I figured as much with the movie selection. I just love having an indoor cheap activity to do with my kids. It's a great way to beat the heat & break up the week.
