After Gavin's success at riding his friends Solo's bike without training wheels we just had to go out & get our boy his very own bike. So for Family Home Evening we headed to Target. There weren't many of the tiny two wheelers to choose from, but I consider that a good thing. These 3 year olds can be rather picky sometimes. :) He decided to go with the green Gravel Blaster!
That night dad assembled the whole thing so that the next evening Gavin could start practicing riding his big boy bike. Just look at that face. Pure joy & excitement! Don't mind Liam in the background with the pink chair. You'll see it a few times. Silly kid.
Getting balanced...
Riding like a mad man that one! I love that he knows he's cool stuff. So proud of himself just as he should be too.
I couldn't help but giggle at watching Doug run along side him. It was the goofiest looking thing ever. Trying to hover, reach out at every wiggle, but so sweet too because he wanted to be right there in case Gavin fell.
This is my favorite picture. Gavin gaining confidence as Doug eases back & then Liam following behind trying to keep up with the big boys. And again, the pink chair. He dragged that thing around the whole time chasing after these two. I don't get it, but it sure made us laugh.
So proud of my Gavin! Doug & I keep saying how incredible it is that he has learned so young. We remember not learning to ride a bike til we were like 7 years old or something like that. Crazy!

Seriously that last picture is CLASSIC! It's a moment in time and a funny one at that! One for the record books! Love it! Way to go Gavin! Makes me feel bad that we haven't gotten one for Collin. :/ We need a driveway and neighborhood that isn't all hills!
