Gavin's Invited to a Rocket Party Sleepover

Monday evening during the bbq at the Steel's, Brittany & I took our boys Gavin & Owen over to their buddy McKay's house for his sleepover birthday party. Gavin was beyond excited about this & had been counting down the days til it arrived. I was nervous for McKenzie to have the 3 of them sleeping over together, but she said handling three would allow her to do more fun activities versus a huge party that would be out of control. Dropping them off was weird. I immediately missed my little guy.

She text me this picture that night once they were settled in their beds ready to watch a movie.

 I was nervous that Gavin wouldn't sleep well & I was right. He was the last to go to sleep around 11PM & the first to wake up at 6:30AM. What's with that? I felt so bad for her, but she assured me that she had expected one of them to do such. It was so fun picking him up & seeing & hearing all the fun stuff that they did. It was an astronaut/rocket party & McKenzie went above & beyond. She's the coolest mom ever!

 She had made these NASA badges for them to wear upon entering the party. Too cute. They made their own pizzas, launched rockets & played games.

 And here he is sporting all the goods. They each got their own jet packs, astronaut ice cream & light sabers. She said they all had a blast & played very well together.

I sure missed by boy & it was very odd not having him home with us. But I'm glad he got to go & had a great time.
