On Sunday April 14, I got the phone call from my friend Rozannah that it was baby time. She was going to the hospital so I went over to their home to be with their kids. Being Sunday we all went to church. Boy was that a sight. We had 5 kids total. Two sets worthy of twin ages if that makes sense. I always thought I would want twins, now I can confirm that I no longer want that. ha ha! The kids all did great though it was just a lot of bodies to be accountable for. :)
Me & the Trockel kids
{Eliza Wren, Lorenzo & Solomon}
I must admit, having Wren was really fun. I loved styling her hair & getting her dressed & we even painted her nails. Doug came in the bathroom when we were painting her toes & he just gave me a big grin & said, "You're LOVING this aren't you?". Yes I was! I want a little girl soooooo badly. :)
Well we got news in the afternoon that Rozannah had their baby girl around 2PM & everything went well. Mom & baby were doing great & the kids would get to meet their new sister that evening after dinner.
I hope Rozannah doesn't mind that I took this picture from her blog. Isn't she a cutie?
For the next couple days with Lorenzo in school I always took Solomon & our friend Lisa took Wren. Boy did Gavin LOVE having a constant buddy to pal around with. These two have quickly left the friend zone & have become more like brothers. As in they play really well together & then they tease & fight really well together too. Haha!
Made a stop for lunch at Chick Fil A! I love this place as much as they do with being able to watch them in the play area through the glass. And the food is always good too.
Next stop: Target
Yes, I had to use the bus cart with these guys & Liam.
But I'd say that had fun cruising around checking things out. I can't help but think of them being 17 in this below picture driving in a car & they both just spotted a hot chick. tee hee! Oh how I do NOT want them to grow up.
Liam just adores Solomon & can actually say "SOLO" very well. He says it over & over & louder & louder whenever he sees him. Solomon is really good with Liam too. I just love this pic of them hugging it out. Too cute.
I was so excited to go visit Rozannah in the hospital & meet baby girl for the first time. I made baby girl a couple headbands & a blanket to bring along. Rozannah looked amazing for just having had her 4th child. So jealous. It was nice being able to hear the whole birth story & just visit with my friend.
Here is Evelyn Adair Trockel wearing one of the headbands I made for her. Oh, new babies are the sweetest! I just loved holding her & it does melt your heart. And I can honestly say that it didn't make me baby hungry. Yes, I do love babies so tiny & fresh, but it didn't push me onto the baby train...yet.
I was so glad that I was able to help out with their kids & meals etc. It really is a blessing to be able to serve those around you & those that you love. We are lucky to have the Trockels down here & it's been so fun getting closer to their family. (they were up in Buffalo with us too, but a year ahead of us in school)
