Doug & I were laying in bed on Sunday morning and we both heard Gavin come out of his room. He usually runs down the hall, but instead of hearing his feet we heard him saying, "WOW!" over & over. I couldn't stop grinning as I knew what was making him respond with such awe.
A little leprechaun sneaked in our house while we were all asleep & left a trail of gold coins that led to some treasure.
Just look at that face! Priceless I tell ya.
That leprechaun knows what we like too. Mint Oreos & Lucky Charms cereal.
After we were all up I made some green waffles for breakfast.
Darcy wanted to go out to get some coffee & breakfast so us three girls headed to Starbucks & Denny's. I was shocked at how crowded it was, but being that I don't usually go out for Sunday brunch I guess that was pretty standard & with it being a holiday. Not that I'm complaining, I loved being able to visit & chat away with Darcy for as long as possible as she had to head to Miami that afternoon.
Darcy & Laura
Me & my cup of cocoa. Haha!
When we got back to the house I had to get a cookin & a table settin to get our holiday feast all ready. I really wanted Darcy to be able to join us for dinner so we ate a late lunch instead.
I loved how the table came together. And if you look close to the plates you probably notice a green fuzzy thing. That would be these...
Green mustaches! These were quite comical & everyone had a riot playing around with them.
Gavin just had to look like Daddy!
Top of the mornin to ya!
Laura & her wee bit o gold!
Kiss us we're Irish! No really, we are. We have a lot of ancestry that comes from Ireland. One of the reasons why I love this holiday so. :)
My we lads are handsome lil things aren't they?!
We had roast beef instead of corn beef & cabbage (yuck), 3-Berry Salad, green beans, green mashed potatoes & our favorite 12 Layer Rainbow Jello.
I only make this on St. Patty's Day as it is quite the process. But so worth it when it's all done. I think it's so pretty! And it tastes good too. :)
Liam was loving him some of that root beer I tell ya. Such a fun dinner & a fun way to celebrate the holiday. We were thrilled to have Darcy there with us & were sad to see her leave. We just love visitors!
Happy St. Patricks Day!

What a fabulous celebration of an Irish holiday! - Looks like all the Irish eyes were smilin' because of all the fun. - St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays being 1/4 Irish. I sure missed watching Darby O'Gill and the Little People.
Luck of the Irish to you all.
I've never made a rainbow jello before! That's dedication, I tell ya! Your mustaches are hysterical. What a fun filled day!
