My cousin Darcy had a work conference in Miami so she came out a couple days early to visit us & Laura. So on Saturday after the Primary activity we went to the Sawgrass Recreation Park to take an airboat ride. We had not been to this particular one so it was fun to see the difference. We were excited when we found out that as Florida residents, purchasing a ticket was also purchasing a year pass. Wahoo! Now we can come back as much as we want.

My handsome boys!
I thought that Liam would have a hard time with the noise even though they gave us ear plugs, but he did great. He had a perma-grin the entire time.
Laura, Darcy & Me
We only saw a couple alligators and you would think that it would get old since we live here & see them often, but it doesn't. It's always exciting to spot them out in the water.
The park also has a little animal exhibit so after the boat ride we walked around checking out what animals they had. They had pigs, panthers, a fox, and a snake....
Crazy!!!! I cannot believe that my scardy cat of a son actually held a snake. It kind of freaked me out a little, but I was really proud of him too.

-Girls Night Out-
After naps & cleaning up from the hot afternoon Doug so kindly stayed home with the boys so that I could go out with Laura & Darcy. We went downtown Fort Lauderdale to Las Olas Blvd to try a new place that we have never been to. We have heard rave reviews about Roccos Tacos so we were pretty excited to eat there. It was an hour wait so we just walked around chatting away & had a lot of fun people watching. We saw the most obliterated drunk man walking stumbling down the sidewalk. We laughed, but the closer he got to us the more nervous I became. Darcy made the comment that we don't come down here much do we? Haha! No we don't. Not that it's a sketchy part of town. Quite the opposite really. I just didn't want him talking to us or touching us or something. Thankfully, Darcy's boyfriend is a cop so she knows all sorts of moves to get away. Number one being if a drunk comes at you, just push them down or move to the side. You'll be able to speed walk away faster then they can get up. :) tee-hee!
Darcy has always been more of a sister to me & Laura being the daughter of my moms twin that would make sense. But more than that she is one of the funniest, energetic, loving, fashionable, smart ladies that I know & love dearly. When I'm with her it's like picking up right where we left off. Always has been, always will. :)
I heard great things about their guacamole so Darcy & I both ordered our own separate bowls. She likes her a lot HOTTER then I do. But I'm glad I got my own because I snarfed on that tasty goodness.
They make it to order table side so it was fun being able to watch him.
We had the perfect table on the patio where we enjoyed the cool night air & also got in some pretty good entertainment by all the people watching. It's kind of fun living in a hot vacation spot where you can see all the tourists acting crazy.
I ordered a chicken & pork taco & they were delicious! Yum! Can I go back now please?!
Such a fun night out with these two! We went back & changed into comfies & stayed up at Laura's WAY too late talking the night away. I think I made it into bed around 2:30AM. I could have stayed longer, but knew I had to get up with the boys in the morning. Plus, the next day was St. Patty's Day so I had a little work to do. ;)
