Saturday March 16th
We had our Primary Easter Egg Hunt/Activity on Saturday morning at the church. We weren't sure how much of a turn out we would get since it was Spring Break & quite honestly, a little early before Easter. We ended up having a great turn out & all the kids had a great time. We started them out with a coloring page while everyone was showing up.
And then off we went outside to hunt for some eggs. The kids all had a lot of fun running around collecting eggs. Not so much finding them as it was just a large grassy area that we held it. :)
He could collect eggs all day long if I let him. The eggs were all empty for a few reasons. We didn't feel the need to have candy as it was a church activity & they received goodie bags/treats later. It also tied into the lesson later with they symbolism of the empty tomb. There were more curious/disappointed parents then there were kids. Which made me laugh. As a child you're just having fun running around & collecting these colorful eggs, but I guess that changes the older you get. Probably why some families end up using money in the eggs even over candy. :)
My binki boy was loving all the action too!
After the egg hunt we all gathered back inside & Rozannah gave a short little object lesson on the true meaning of Easter.
