The Shaw Family

Doug & I were married on October 6, 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. We are currently living in the Dallas, Texas area. We have two sons, Gavin Douglas born September 18, 2009 & Liam Robert born October 14, 2011. We are so happy to be a family of four & love our boys so much! It is always one adventure after another in this house.

Every day life

We have a lot of fun in our every day life. We are always busy doing something & thank goodness we get to squeeze in some fun along with it.

Doug has been playing flag football on Wednesday nights at 8:00PM. There are a few moms that always go with their kiddos which just baffles me at the thought of keeping little ones up that late. But maybe it's just my kids that turn into monsters the next day if they stay up too late? Well, one night I finally caved & decided that Gavin would in fact LOVE watching his dad play.

I was right. Gavin was in heaven! But of course he didn't sit & watch dad the whole time. He was off running around playing with the other kids. But I have to say that what I was always afraid of held true. Gavin was super naughty the next day. No late nights for this kid!

But aside from being naughty he just has a lot of energy. He is constantly asking us to play with him & lately he's been into rolling up in blankets where he can't move. Check out that face. It's out of pure joy might I add. He was laughing hysterically!

Our little burrito!

We switched Liam to the forward facing car seat & man has life in the car been WAY more pleasant. Now he can see everything that is going on. Unfortunately, that means he can see us in the front eating or drinking. So his shrills & screams have upped quite a bit wanting whatever we have, but other than that, it's great!

We had a craft night where my friend Cortney taught us all how to make maxi skirts out of jersey knit. I must admit that I was super impressed with all of us that we actually completed the entire skirt in one night! I will most definitely be making more of these cute skirts!

Gavin wakes up with some serious bed head now that his hair is so long. I never would have thought I'd be untangling my sons hair to get the knots out. Ha ha!

Liam's first sucker! He was quite clean about eating it too. Notice in the right picture how he's holding is pinky up?! So proper.

Gotta love running to the bank!

Every time we run an errand to the store the first thing Gavin does is accessorize. I crack up every time seeing what he has chosen. This kid has a thing for sunglasses & hats.

Love my boys & all the fun they add to my life.
