Doug & I celebrated our 7th Anniversary on October 6th. I cannot believe how quickly the years have gone. We both can still remember that special day in all its wonderful detail.
Love this man more than words can describe! It's been wonderful sharing life's moments with the person that I've always dreamed of having.
I was so excited about our day because we were going to be doing something different then the typical anniversary date. I had found on LivingSocial a deal for a 2 hour paddle board lesson & tour in Miami. We were pretty excited about it. I had called & made the appointment & then the day of we kind of felt a little sketchy about it as it was very difficult to get a hold of someone. But we decided to try for it anyhow. Well it was a complete bust. This company doesn't even exist! I was SO angry that people are dishonest, but more so because our day activity was ruined. We couldn't bring ourselves to drive the 30 minutes back for nothing so we found a movie theater.
This was the perfect movie for us to watch after having been disappointed. We laughed throughout the entire thing! So funny.
We drove home & got ready for dinner. Sadly, we spent most of our anniversary in the car. :( But it was nice to have a lot of talking time with each other.
We decided to eat somewhere we have never been before. After talking to a friend about different places to try we decided on the Grand Lux. Then after talking to Steph & hearing that this is her favorite place & that's where she first discovered the caramel chicken that we are both obsessed with we were sold. :) Apparently it's a sister restaurant to Cheesecake Factory. You could definitely tell too as they have the same interior feel as each other.
Doug got the spicy shrimp & chicken jambalaya & I of course had to order the caramel chicken with mashed potatoes. YUM!
After dinner we walked around all the fancy stores that we wouldn't even be able to afford a sleeve from a shirt, but had fun looking around none the less. Actually, I stand corrected. Doug did find a pair of True Religion shorts that were only $14. Sold. Haha!
It was a great day spent together & that is all that matters. We are so thankful for Aunt Laura & our friends the Rudds for watching our boys all day & night so we could celebrate our 7 years!

Don't know about you but those 7 years have just flown by - Congratultions you two on a great marriage. May you have many more anniversaries to look forward to. Sounds and looks like you had a great time despite the paddle boat disappointment.
I can't believe the deal ended up being a scam, what a bummer. At least you got a hot date and good food out of the day though. What more could a girl want:)
