Gavin

Gavin is so much fun! He loves to play with hats & masks & capes etc. He is boy through & through. He is getting SO big & is always willing (sometimes a little too willing) to help out. He talks a LOT & I love being able to have full on conversations with him. When he says something in the wrong way or calls something by the wrong name & you correct him. Instead of saying the correct version, he will just add on what you said to what he previously said. Some fun things about Gavin right now:
He is constantly saying, "Stop Mom, stop!" while holding his hand out. My favorite is when he uses his most polite voice & says, "Excuse me please!" while trying to get your attention. He's really into being chased right now & is always calling to you to "Chase me, chase me!". He loves to make Liam laugh. He's really into super heros right now. Especially the Incredible Hulk or in his words, "The big green man".  He loves to say prayers & often insists that he be the one to say it at the dinner table. He is turning into quite the fish & loves to swim. He is still Daddy's little shadow & could follow Doug around all day everyday. Not sure Doug loves this, but I think it's pretty cute. He is SUPER social & will talk to just about anyone. He is always saying "Hi!" to strangers at the stores or at the park or where ever we are. He is turning into quite the negotiator as of late. He is constantly telling me, "5 more minutes, Mom. Just 5 more minutes". Or I'll be giving two choices to choose between & he just replies with, "Or how bout......" & whatever it is he wants instead. The best was the other night at dinner he was not being a happy boy & he & his dad were getting into it with each other. I know right, you'd think I was talking about a 13 year old not a 3 year old. Anyways, I piped in trying to take control of getting Gavin to behave & he just yelled at me saying, "STOP TALKING TO ME! I'M TALKING TO MY DAD!!!!". I was so taken back by how direct/frustrated he was that I couldn't think of anything else to do, but be quiet. :) Gavin loves to have fun! We sure love him & can't believe how big he is getting. It's crazy that he will be 3 in just two months.
Gavin got invited to a pirate/princess party for his friend Shayla. The invitation was so cute. It was a little bottle filled with sand & treasures along with the treasure map (invite). As soon as he got his eye patch & ring on he ran into his room. He came running back out holding his pirate sword in hand yelling, "Arg matee!".

Gavin was invited to another birthday party for his friend Jenna. He had a blast swimming & eating cheetos!

Like I mentioned, he loves to help dad work. Here he is helping to put together a shelf for Aunt Laura.

He concentrates so hard!

Our little Bob the Builder. Laura had the hard hat in her costume collection & Gavin puts it on every time he goes to her house. So funny!

Love those brown eyes!

He has been really into taking pictures with my camera lately. Every time I turn my camera on I find a whole shlew of photos that he has snapped. He's actually getting pretty good too. Here are a few of his photos:

Liam loves just about any kind of attention that Gavin will give him. So he was happy to be his model for the shoot.

It too bad he only has one look. I don't think however that Gavin minded one bit. He was giggling the entire time taking pics of Liam.

Then he decided it was his turn to be in front of the camera. Check out that grin!

I can't get over that Liam has the same exact look in all of these pictures. It cracks me up!

Me & my boys

Gavin still loves to show us his muscles!

OK, I was reading this post, when Collin came and climbed into my lap. Then the pic of Gavin in the blue striped shirt came up and Collin immediately said, "Hi Gavin!", like he was actually talking to Gavin. It was so cute.

I loved reading about sweet Gavin!! He is so funny. I can totally hear him doing the "stop, Mom, stop" or "excuse me". And so funny about him yelling that he's talking to his dad!!! I'm so jealous he loves to say prayers!! He is such a sweet boy! We miss him!
