Annual Costume Party

This is a party that we look forward to every year. The Evans' have been so great at hosting the Halloween Costume Party year after year. I'm sad that this was our last one :( I had our costumes planned since last Halloween. I knew that I was wanting to have another baby & knew I probably would be pretty far along in pregnancy by Halloween this year so it was the perfect costume. Well we missed the mark by only two weeks so I decided to reminisce the prego days by stuffing my belly in order to pull of the costume. When telling people what we were being, I was a little surprised that not many people have seen the movie. At least most knew of it so we weren't completely off the mark with it. I'm all about the details so when Steph snapped the picture of us we had to make it look as close to the movie cover as possible.

I just wish I had remembered to bring a jug of Sunny D or a Big Gulp. It really would have completed the look. :) This seriously was the best costume post baby. No make up, hair in a pony & a stuffed belly. I was pretty darn comfy all night long. Can't say the same for dear ol Doug. He has always been such a sport for wearing pretty much anything I tell him to for Halloween. Doesn't he look dang sessy in those short shorts?!

I was super proud of myself because I found pretty much both our entire costumes at the thrift & dollar store. Go me! :)

Okay, on to everyone else's costumes. I always look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. There always seems to be some that come with last minute ideas & I'll be honest, those are usually my favorite.

My sister Laura arrived in town just a day before the party so I made her bring out her costume so she could join us. She was the Tootsie Pop Owl & won the best overall costume! My mom made her costume too. Isn't it legit?! Love it!

I can't believe you didn't even COMMENT about the insanity of the Hawes' and the Carters' costumes!!! You must be used to those guys! :)

I love how hard you are laughing in the Hawes' photo. Hilarious!
