Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was splendid. I woke up Sunday morning to my two boys bringing me breakfast in bed. Of coarse, Gavin had to help me eat most of it. :) We went to church & all the women received a single rose & some chocolate. Doug made dinner & insisted that I stay out of the kitchen. I'm pretty sure it was mostly because he didn't want me over his shoulder making sure he followed the recipes to a tee. ;) We ate homemade Cafe Rio & it was delicious! We were able to skype with both families & it was nice to have that time to chat & visit. That night Doug & Gavin gave me their gift. It was a ticket to the musical Wicked!

I was thrilled! I have been wanting to see this for so long. Last night was the night & I got to go with my friend Megan. (It was her mother's day gift too) It was so fun to have a girls night & I LOVED the show! It was so funny & the music is wonderful.

Another great Mother's Day gift to me is that Doug has had this entire week off from school. Wahoo! It has been so nice to have him around all the time. Gavin & I both are going to have a hard time when spring extension starts on Monday. The weather has been great all week long so we've been taking advantage of it.

I recently became a member of the zoo so yesterday was our first time using our pass.

Gavin was loving every minute of it. It was so fun watching him recognize the animals & make their sounds. I have a feeling we will be going a lot.

This morning was a fun & exciting one for our little family. We are happy to announce that our baby is a....We are so excited for Gavin to have a little buddy! Plus it really couldn't be any more convenient because they are in the same season & I really won't have to stress about preparing anything for this baby. :) A lot of people say that having two in a row of the same sex is wonderful so that makes me even more excited! Now I just can't wait to see what he looks like. Here are a few shots from the ultra sound.

The tech spotted is boy part right off the bat! He sure was a wiggly little guy just like his older brother was. I just love the profile pictures & the foot one too! So precious.
