Liam's naps are becoming less & less these days. But now & then he really conks out. I just love sleeping children. So peaceful...and quiet. A rarity with this kid. Haha!
One morning walking Gavin into school I looked up & saw these two holding hands. Melted my heart & couldn't resist capturing it. Brotherly love does exist.
Made one of my childhood snacks for Liam & they were a hit! Well sorta. He said he liked the 'ants on a log' but preferred the yogurt raisins on his. :)
This is about the only place that will guarantee a nap for Liam.
One afternoon we decided to make some GAK!
We needed to get out of the house so we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. This was his getup for the outing.
He was playing with legos one minute & then I found him like this. Seriously, if this kid would just lay down in his bed!
My friend Tawny had a birthday & I wanted to treat her to breakfast to celebrate. She chose the Cracker Barrel which I had never been to so that was fun to try something new.
While I was downtown with Steph for the weekend, Doug took the boys to Cosmic Jump. They pretty much had the place to themselves & loved it!
They also decided to surprise me when I returned with this...
Seriously? How amazing is Doug?! He just whips out a bunk bed in 2 days, no big deal. I admire that man of mine & all his talents.
Here is the finished product. It took a few more weeks to get it all sanded & stained. But I LOVE how it turned out! And the boys LOVE having their very own bunkbeds & they love sharing a room now too.
Uncle Hyrum came into town on some business & stayed with us a couple nights. It sure was fun catching up & spending time with my brother.
Showing their 'tricks' to Uncle Hyrum at the skate park.
Gavin had his 100th day of school & was asked to dress up like he was 100 years old. Can I just say how much I love that he loves to dress up. Just like his mama! He's always such a good sport & gets into character too.
Is he not the cutest 100 year old man you've ever seen?!
One afternoon Liam decided it was okay to snuggle with me for a few minutes. Those few minutes passed into moments & it wasn't until I heard the 'click' of my phone's camera shutter that I opened my eyes to see Gavin taking a picture. This is what we captured. Be still my heart.
Having snacks after his game with his pal Hunter.
I was out running some errands in the evening by myself & as I was headed home I couldn't help but notice & capture this beautiful sunset. It's moments like this that you stop & truly let the beauty of this earth sink into your soul. Life gets so crazy busy & these moments often pass to quickly to really enjoy them.
Catching garden snakes in the yard while working with Dad is always so fun!
They so desperately wanted to keep it as a pet. We let them for a week before they had to let him go.
The ward Easter egg hunt was a hit!
With Easter falling on conference Sunday I had the boys wear their Easter outfits the week before. They sure are handsome little dudes!
Doug & I have been loving our calling as Sunday School Teachers for the 15 year olds. As challenging as it is to get them to open up & participate, we are loving them dearly. We had a fun Easter lesson where we played an Easter Jeopardy game & then I passed out these little handouts.
Oh, and I brought them some Easter rice krispy treats. I used a Pinterest idea & took those bright colored marshmallow peeps to make all the different colors. The teenagers were pretty impressed!
