It was such a relief to see that Doug & his dad had actually accomplished a TON when they moved our stuff here. All the furniture & most boxes were set in the appropriate rooms. That helped me a ton! Doug had about a week home to help settle in before he had to start work with Monarch. That was also a blessing. We got to workin like busy bees unpacking & putting things away. Well Mom & Dad were busy unpacking while these two cuties got to enjoy their surprise Santa Claus present. They bundled up & would jump for a long time.
We noticed we had a little friend on our porch. Seriously so cool! I wonder how long he'll stay before we chase him off.
We hit up IKEA to get a little organized. Why is it that I never think about actually fitting what we buy in the car before we buy it?!?! Thankfully we managed to make it fit. And ya gotta love Gavin's face. Haha!
One of the first perks we saw about living in Texas is the cheap gas prices! We can definitely get use to this.
Taking a break & going on a family walk around the neighborhood. We have to get use to all this bundling up. It's FREEZING!!!
Not gonna lie, I really do love it! I get to wear all my winter gear that I haven't gotten to wear since Buffalo. And I get to drink hot chocolate a lot more often. Yum!
One morning I rolled over & got to see this fine specimen of a man standing bed side. :) I'm telling ya, it's cold here!
Morning snuggles with Gavin.
These two make me laugh all the time with the things they come up with. It's freezing out & they still can't not run around in their underwear like in Florida. But at least they incorporated some cowboy boots. :)
I had originally planned on keeping Gavin home with me until the fall when he would start Kindergarten. But after a week home as bad as that sounds, he & I were both needing school. So we toured a few different preschools & found just the right one for our family.
First United Methodist Church
I was more nervous for Gavin to start then he was. Being that it was half way through the school year I was praying that his classmates would accept him. Gavin is pretty social & doesn't ever really have a problem making friends, but I was nervous anyhow.
Well those nerves were for no reason because he did great! After his first week his teachers sent home a note praising him for fitting in so well & jumping right into learning.
