Happy Father's Day

Me & the boys were really excited to celebrate Father's Day with the best Dad in the whole wide world! I am so lucky to have Doug be the father of my children. I knew before I married him that he would be a good dad, but when he actually become one, oh my how he exceeded my expectations! Our boys adore him & simply can't get enough of him. From the minute he walks in the door the screams & shrilles begin of excitement to see their hero. The poor man can't even put his bags down before they are begging him to play with them. And he does. He always does. It puts a smile on my face to see that kind of love being given. From both sides. Doug doesn't only just play with the boys, he is my partner in parenting them. When he is home he takes on an equal amount of responsibility for the decisions being made in regards to the kids. I am so grateful to have a husband that helps me get through my long days at home & that is willing to help pick up the house, do the dishes, clean a toilet or what have you. I couldn't have gotten a better man in my life I'll tell ya that much. :)

The boys were really excited to help me make this candy gram card for Dad. Gavin thought it was so funny how we used candy in place of words. :)

For breakfast Doug requested that we have crepes. We don't make them often which I don't know why because they are sooo good.

Then off we went to church. The dads got treated with songs from the primary children & some chocolate. Everyone (except mom) took naps after church. But that's ok, he's worth it. Haha!
Before dinner we had him open up his gifts.

I was really pumped to give him my gift. I actually got him something I knew he wanted, but that he didn't know I was getting. Haha! It was fun to surprise him for once. My man loves his beats. But instead of going with the Beats by Dre, I got him the Monster noise isolation ones. They were the company before BBD was started. And Doug is also known for being VERY hard on his sunglasses so he needed some new ones. And Laura was sweet & got him a gift card for some good ol' man eating steaks. haha!

And speaking of meat, I prepared for him his favorite meal....bbq ribs. I usually make him do it cuz I get so nervous about ruining them. But this time I was adamant about doing it all on my own. They turned out so tender & perfect! They were literally falling off the bone. Mmm finger lickin good!

It was a pretty chill day, but safe to say that Doug had a great Father's Day!
