Dad had the day off so we asked the boys what they wanted to do for fun. Gavin called out, "Fishing!" So fishing we went. We stayed close to home because the boys really don't last that long. And I'm not going to lie, I don't really last that long either. :) We have a favorite little spot that has a huge tree with 'Tarzan' vines as Gavin puts it. They love to swing on the vines like little monkeys.
My favorite picture right here. Love my boys with all my heart. Such a sweet moment that I was able to capture. It sure takes a lot of patience to try & catch a fish.
And thankfully Dad had enough patience for all of us to actually get one. Haha!
The boys were pretty nervous about holding the fish. We initially tried to get Gavin to take hold with his thumb in the fish's mouth, but he wasn't having that. And as you can tell by his light touch, I was lucky to get this picture snapped before he was done. Liam on the other hand, he had a nice grip on the poor fishies fin. :)
Love my little Liam in the background just chillin.
Not long after this Gavin & I were fishing by each other. Well he was more playing with a big stick & throwing things in the water. I was off somewhere in my thoughts when I heard mentioned stick crack followed by a big splash. I turned around & Gavin had fallen into the water. Bwah ha! I was laughing & quickly said as to not get him upset, "I thought I caught a big fish, but it was just you!". He smiled & thought that was pretty funny. He kept asking me all day, "Did you really think you caught a big fish? But then you just saw that it was me?" I love him.
Our little monkey's swinging in the trees.
It really was such a fun morning fishing with my boys. Loved every minute of it!

What a fun outing and sweet memories!! That first picture has my heart!!! So tender!! I literally laughed out loud at the part where you said, "not going to lie, I don't last that long either!" Hahaha! Soo true for me too! That was cute about Gavin falling in and you telling him you thought you caught a big fish. Hehe!
