We had a lot of Easter activities this year. One of my favorite holidays by far too. I wish I had been more on top of doing some of the true meaning of Easter activities with the boys. I waited til the last minute & nothing worked out. Dang. I will be better next year.
{Preschool Easter Party}
It's always so fun to be able to go into Gavin's classroom & be apart of his parties.
{Davie Playgroup Egg Hunt}
A bunch of us moms from a few of the wards got together for our kiddos to have an egg hunt. There were so many kids & so many eggs. :)

{Primary Easter Activity}
Saturday morning we had our Primary activity. We really wanted to focus on Christ & His resurrection instead of it being all about the Easter bunny & egg hunt. But you can't have an Easter activity without an egg hunt, so we just did ours a little differently. We talked about how the tomb was empty & that when the kids find their eggs, they too will be empty. We are remember the importance of Easter & all that Jesus did for us. They loved it! Everyone had a good time & yes, we're not that mean, the kids did get to take home a goodie bag with some candy in it.

That night we had our friends the Trockels over to dye eggs & have dessert. Sahara & Gavin were loving it. Liam just plopped the eggs in & ran off. Haha
Showing Gavin how you make your lips colored with whopper robins eggs. Pucker up! And then we ate this tasty summer treat, strawberry poke cake. Yum! One of my favorites.
{Easter Sunday}
We do have church at 9am, but we figured what the heck, let them find their baskets & go on an egg hunt. It was so fun watching these cute boys get so excited & run around.
The first thing Liam did was pop some chocolate into his mouth. Haha. My kid through & through. :)
Even Mom & Dad got baskets from the Easter Bunny. Wahoo!
We made my moms famous & tasty sour cream pancakes for breakfast. Yum!
Trying to get everyone dressed up & ready in their Easter best is quite the task on it's own. Let alone when you're trying to make it on time for church at 9am. So pictures had to wait til after the church block. They are a little ragged looking, but still the most handsome boys I know. :)
How did I get so lucky to have such good looking boys?! I love these two with all my heart.
That evening we went over the the Sorensen's for Easter dinner. It was a lot of fun getting together with friends. It's always so hard being away from family on holidays so it's great when you can call on your friends to help make it better.
All the food was delicious! We had ham, rolls, salad, green bean casserole, party potatoes, deviled eggs, and
dessert. I made carrot cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting.
Joslyn had a little egg hunt for the dads. It was hilarious how into it they got. And of course the kiddos jumped in to help.

You need to frame that picture of you and the boys cuz you are a knock out!! Your Easter looked so fun! Random, but glancing at that last picture I thought Brittany was Kate Messick! Ha!
