Gavin had made a paper chain count down because he was constantly nagging me with, "Is it Halloween yet?" "Is tomorrow Halloween?". The chain worked like a charm. And when the last link was removed it was a thrilling moment for my excited little boy. October 31st has finally arrived!
While searching dinner ideas on Pinterest I found a really cute idea to do a mystery menu dinner for Halloween. The blog I found included all the FREE printables & the brainwork was done. It was perfect. But I didn't really want to do the whole thing for just my two boys. I know that sounds bad, but they are both still small & figured if there were other kids around they would all feed off each other & get excited about it. Anyhow, we invited a couple families over to join us & it was a success.
{Dracula's Diner}
The kids loved having their own menus to order from. You could tell they felt very grown up. :)
Even though only one of them could actually read & fill it out without parental help. Haha!
(Ghost bananas, pumpkin oranges & candy corn kabobs)
(Mummy Dogs)
(Spiderweb cupcakes)
Gavin being goofy with his sticky eye balls.
Lorenzo put his fangs in & was actually eating & drinking with them. Haha! Gross.
Cute lil ghouls filling up on dinner so they can go get their trick or treat on!
All ready to hit the streets!
After the first couple houses these young ones got it figured out & were loving all the candy they got for being so cute!
And I'm sure glad we had Wolverine with us to protect us from all the crazies out there.
I'm so glad we brought the wagon. It saved a lot of whining from the kids & a lot of aggravation from the parents.
My little Mike Wazowski did awesome! He carried his own pumpkin pretty much the entire time.
After we got home & put them to bed I dumped the loot out to 'check' for anything that shouldn't be in there. And I did find some things....a snickers, butterfinger & twix that I just had to confiscate. Haha!
They did pretty darn good for only being out about an hour & a half.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2013
