Peanut Island

After the race I went home & we got all our stuff ready to head out on a little adventure. We drove up north a ways with our friends Brittany & Tyler to check out Peanut Island. Peanut Island received it's name back in the 40's when it was used as a terminal for shipping peanut oil. Kinda interesting. You usually take a ferry over to the island, but we lucked out because the Rhodes actually have a boat. :) So we spent the first while just boating around the island checking it out.

 You would think he just ate something nasty, but no, that is what I got when I asked him to smile.

 We love fishing! Owen actually did catch one, but it got away before we could snap a picture.

 Then we stopped & played on the beach in the water for a couple hours.

 A pizza joint on the water. How awesome is that. It even delivers. Ha! Who woulda thought?

 Collette didn't want to do silly faces, she wanted to give kisses. So sweet.

 We packed up & drove over to another part of the island that had more inlets that were meant for snorkeling. It was a pretty windy day so the water was very murky & you couldn't see anything. The boys all had fun just swimming around though. And who doesn't love some good ol skinny dippin?

We had a great time exploring a new place with our friends.
