Fishing, Everglades & the Beach

We had a few fun outings in the month of July. Some with dad on the weekends and some during the week with friends. I sure love all there is to do down here in Florida! 

{Fishing}

The boys got new fishing poles so we had to test them out. We went fishing at nearby canals. It was a hot day for sure which made it a little hard to be out there for a long time. Plus, we didn't get any bites. :( Oh well, we had a good time fishing as a family anyways.

We found some vines that were hanging down that looked strong enough for a little monkey business. Gavin loved swinging on the vines like Tarzan.

{Everglades Airboat Tour}

We went with the Graff's to the Sawgrass Recreational Park to take an airboat tour through the everglades. I love these boat rides. Sadly we didn't see any alligators this time.

There were quite a few vultures hanging out on top of the trees. Kinda eerie. 

We walked around the little zoo part of the park & got to hold a baby alligator. They sure feel a lot different then they look. They were surprisingly soft.

Double the piggy back! 

This gator is HUGE! The picture doesn't really do it justice though. I get the creeps when I see it in person as I can't help but picture being attacked. I know, I'm weird, but seriously folks, these things are ginormous! I feel kinda bad that he's just chillin in this tiny pool all day every day.

{Dania Beach}

We try to make it to the beach once a week with friends. It's fun having all the kiddos together playing in the ocean & the sand. We sure are blessed to have such fun friends down here.

Gavin can't take a normal picture if his life depended on it. Seriously, this kid drives me nuts in the moment when I'm trying to get a normal happy smile out of him, but cracks me up when I look back at the pictures later. Silly boy!

It was the perfect beach day as there were no waves. The kids had a blast playing in the ocean & not getting beat to death by white cap waves. :)

Lisa totally photo bombed me & Liam. Haha! I had no idea she was back there. Love her face. Love her!

She felt bad for 'ruining' the picture so I just made her take a normal one with me. :) So happy to have Lisa as a friend. I'm going to miss her when she leaves soon.
