I woke up to my boys coming into my room carrying me a tray of breakfast. They were both sooooo excited to be bringing me breakfast in bed. It just melted my heart to see their happy faces.
Mmmm! Sour cream pancakes, bacon & fruit. A great way to start out the day.
They left me to eat in peace, but hearing their sweet voices out at the table just made me want to be with them. So when I came out I saw this.
Doug took the boys to the florist & Gavin picked out every single flower that you see in the vase. They also picked out all my gifts too. Some candy, chips & a princess kick ball! That was the gift of all gifts. :) It's the one & only princess item we now have in this house. Thank you boys!
I got a pretty good laugh over this coloring page.
We don't have church until noon so when Liam went down for an early nap & I was working on primary stuff. Doug couldn't fight the urge to take a snooze himself. I guess being Mr. Mom all morning wore him out. haha!
Me & my everythings all ready for church. I'm so happy & grateful to be the mother of these two handfuls. As challenging as motherhood is, the rewards are oh so sweet & fulfilling.
Doug & Laura did all the cooking & baking for me & I was thrilled. It was nice to be completely off duty for the day.
We had steak, beef ribs, potatoes & broccoli salad. Yum!
And then for dessert, Laura made me the most delicious cake. I'd only had it once before when Steph made it for my birthday a couple years ago. But I remembered it being sooooo good that I requested it again. It's chocolate cake & cheese cake.
I felt completely spoiled & taken care of & am so thankful for my boys, husband & sister for making it such a special day for me.
The best part of the day though was at the end when I read my little ones stories. I just love being their mom!
