It's quite odd to be experiencing fall when you don't have the fall weather. But with decorations up & pumpkin spice candles burning it does help put you in the mood at least a little bit. There aren't really pumpkin patches here, but there are a few nursery's that put together a makeshift event for people to come pick one out. This one was just 5 minutes from our house.
We met up with some of our friends & had a some fun!
Started it off with a hayride. The kids loved it & had no idea that we were just riding through a parking lot. Ha ha!
There were a lot of garden decorations & the boys thought these turtles were pretty cool. We are just glad they didn't break any as I'm pretty sure they were like $200 or something like that. Yikes!
Check out this monster adirondack chair. It was more like a slide, but the kids had a ball playing on it.
I can't stop laughing at Gavin's face in this picture. Seriously so funny!
Daddy & Liam hanging out
Gavin found more chairs to climb in & relax.
Picking out the perfect pumpkin
And then he even got to paint it. Wahoo. I didn't get a picture of the finished product, but it was completely covered in paint. Thankfully they had a box to take it home in. Such a fun activity.
It was a great family outing & we had fun. I couldn't help but compare it to good ol' Becker Farms back up in Buffalo though. And doing so made me a little sad. I really miss New York this time of year!
