Once we found out that Tropical Storm Isaac was on it's way I decided this was a good opportunity to get our 72 Hour packs organized. I didn't even have any for the boys. Shame, shame I know. When I went to Walmart the day after the news announced it to stock up on some water, the shelves were completely empty. What the? Seriously? Apparently everyone else & their dog had the same thought that I did. Thankfully, they brought out some more cases. Since we're are new to southern Florida we didn't know the whole routine of things when preparing for a storm. So I loaded up on non perishables & put together a huge bin of food in case our power went out. Which it never did. yay! Really we only experienced a TON of rain & harsh winds. So we still stayed indoors for a couple days, but all was well with the Shaw clan after it passed. We had to come up with some fun things to do with the boys since we couldn't go out & play. Or so we thought. :) At one point the rain died down so we went out to let the boys splash around. I could not believe how much water there was!
The boys had so much fun splashing around & playing.
Cannot get enough of that cute & silly face!
After playing for a long while we went in to warm up & the boys wore their fuzzy jammies!
Doug is the coolest dad ever & built the best most biggest fort I've
seen that took up our entire family room. Gavin was in heaven! He
camped out all day playing & watching movies.
One happy camper!
I had to run to the grocery store at one point & was shocked at what the parking lot looked like.
No one was parking in the spots because it was like 4-5 inches deep. Crazy!

Oh,my goodness. I've never seen so much water just from rain! Love the tent - a perfect place to be all safe and cozy!
We were so glad when it was over and your guys hadn't suffered too much from the storm - in fact it looks like you had great time - it's all in the ATTITUDE -right?
