Dinners

The week before graduation Doug had a special dinner every single night leading up to graduation. It wasn't until the third dinner that I was able to attend. I was so excited to have a night out with just the two of us in celebration of Doug's accomplishments.

Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Honors Dental Society
This was a special night to celebrate Doug being apart of the Honors Dental Society all four years of dental school. Dinner was at a country club & was attended by all members of the society. It was fun to meet some of those that went to dental school WAY back when. I got to meet a lot of the professors that Doug worked with too. I was so proud of Doug!

Graduation Banquet
I don't know who was more excited about this dinner out of the husbands or wives. Wait! Yes I do, us wives were by far more excited about this night because it meant getting new dresses & being all dolled up for our graduating hubbies! It was a fun night of mingling, eating & watching people receive their awards. The food was not that good, but it was just nice to eat in peace without children for an evening. Doug's parents flew in that day so it was even better that we didn't have to find a babysitter. :)

Doug received FOUR different awards. One of which that I am SOOO excited about is that he was Valedictorian!!! Doug worked extremely hard over the past 4 years to achieve this & I couldn't be more proud.

Soon to be Dr. & Mrs. Doug Shaw

Us & our Besties

Just puttin out the vibe! :)
The banquet ended fairly early & since we had gotten all dressed up & had grandparents watching the kiddos we just couldn't call it a night. So we headed off to Cheesecake Factory for some yummy dessert. Sitting at dinner just the four of us brought back so many memories of our first year when neither of us had kids yet. We couldn't even remember the last time we had a double date without at least one baby in tow. We laughed that we were leaving the same way we came. :)
