Liam Newborn Photos

I know I am really late at posting these, but better late than never right?! :) My dear friend Megan took all of Gavin's photos his first year of life & our family photos. She is amazing! So you can see how I was super sad that she wasn't going to be able to take Liam's because she moved away. :( I know there are lots of photographers out there, but there is just something about Megan's work that I absolutely love. And I was not about to pay loads of moolah for something I didn't know if I would love or not. With that said, it is also amazing to have good friends that have super nice cameras that are willing to take pictures for you! I keep telling Doug that I want to be that friend & that he should get me a super nice camera. ;) No luck so far.

So with Liam at two weeks old, my friend Rachel came over to our house & we tried to get some photos of Liam. The first day he was a super naughty baby & would not cooperate. He was wide awake & wouldn't 'mold' to our liking at all! I felt so bad that he was being a stinker. Gavin was such a sleepy little guy & so good at two weeks that I thought Liam would be the same. I guess that was my first lesson to not compare these two boys. So Rachel was nice enough to come back the next day & attempt this whole thing yet again. Liam was happier, but it still did not go as smoothly as I would have liked. I don't know how photographers to newborn sessions. They are a lot of work & I don't even know what I'm doing! We managed to get a few good shots. So here they are:

 My good friend Crescent made him the adorable Owl Hat! I so wish more photos turned out with him wearing this. So cute!

 My other dear friend Steph made Liam this cute hat! Seriously, my friends are so talented. I love it!

 This is probably one of my favorites. Gavin was in heaven holding his baby brother & also being center of attention. I love seeing my two boys together!

 I love all the light that is coming through the front door. A precious moment in our first home that will always be cherished.

 I love this one! Even though you can see his binki, it is a very tender moment to me. I love his sweet little hands!

Thanks Rach for being patient with us & capturing some of his first new moments in our home. They grow so quickly & I am grateful to have those new, fresh moments to cherish forever.
