First week home with Baby Liam

So life at home with baby Liam has been wonderful. I forgot how much babies sleep their first few weeks of life. It is so precious to just sit & watch them look all peaceful. Even when everything around them is crazy loud & busy. I wish I could tune out the world as easy as Liam does. :)

When we left the hospital they never gave us a discharge weight for Liam. So at his 5 day check up he weighed in at 7lb 11oz. Since he had a little jaundice we wanted to closely watch his fluid intake & diapers to make sure he was passing it. So they wanted him to have a weight check in a week. Which was 8lb 3oz (1oz shy of his birth weight at day 10)

So all is well with our little man. His color is all back to normal now & he is growing great!

Gavin has been doing quite well with having a new little brother in the house. Trust me, their are moments where he is definitely his 2 year old self with tantrums, not listening, etc. But when it comes to baby 'brudder' he is so sweet! He doesn't really bug him or pay much attention to him at all. For which I am very grateful. I love the moments where he wants to give him a kiss or hold him. Lately if he hears Liam cry out he has to "check him". :)

Gavin left the room & was being very quiet so I thought he was up to some trouble. Nope! He had climbed into Liam's car seat & was just chillin. :)

With Grandma in town we have been doing some fun things to keep Gavin entertained & happy. One day we had a pumpkin theme. He colored pumpkins, helped bake pumpkin cookies & even got to have a pumpkin mask. Every time he would put it on he would call himself Pumpkin Boy! Seriously, this kid is the cutest thing ever!
