So I have been wanting to get a couple little projects done & I finally did so this past weekend. I have been meaning to make Gavin a hooded towel for forever, but just never got around to it. I should have done it a long time ago as he is a little too big for the ones he's been using since he was a baby. So with the new baby coming I finally sat down & did it. Seriously the easiest thing to do! I didn't do anything fancy like making it into a cute animal hood or add any decals & decorations. But I am very happy with how it turned out. Gavin even helped by selecting the color of towel to use while we were at Target.
Doesn't he look cute in new blue towel?! I sure think so.
I did it while Gavin was napping & when I went in to get him up I was holding the finished product. Once I showed it to him & told him what it was he just got the happiest look on his face & said, "Oh....CUTE!". That put the biggest smile on my face.
The other little thing I wanted to make was this headband I saw while checking out one my new favorite blogs to follow Little Miss Momma. I love headbands & think they are so adorable, but I always get the worst headaches from wearing them. When I saw one that was made from a t-shirt & thought to myself that has to be comfy. So I went ahead & made myself one. It was really easy & I love how it turned out. I wore it all day & no headache. Hallelujah!
Don't pay any attention to the disaster of a hair style I'm sporting. Hence the reason to add something cute to big mess. :)
I still have more things to cross off my list before baby comes, but thank goodness I still have a while.

That headband is darling! I can't wait to make it crochet-style :). I love getting projects done! Way to go on Gavin's towel. That's hysterical that he used his baby one for so long!
I love your projects!! You are so crafty missy :) Um yeah, both of my kids are still using their baby towels...yes even my almost 3 year old! I think it's time for a bigger one, maybe we can have a lunch/towel making date over here next week??
I want that headband! I'll have to go on that blog and check it out. I'm so not crafty but I can follow directions so maybe if it's easy enough I could make it. :)
What fun projects! The hooded towel is darling and he looks so cute in that blue color. Love, love the headband. I've always liked headbands, too, but always had the headache problem as well. Glad this one worked out.
