We have two sons, Gavin Douglas born September 18, 2009 & Liam Robert born October 14, 2011. We are so happy to be a family of four & love our boys so much! It is always one adventure after another in this house.

Buffalo Ward Campout

Two weekends ago was our ward campout. It wasn't until that afternoon that Doug decided he wanted to take Gavin & have a father & son outing. Yes, that means I didn't attend. I mean, being 8 months pregnant & all how selfish am I to want to stay home & have a night to myself. :) So I packed my boys up & sent them on their way. My evening went great! I had dinner, took a bubble bath, painted my toes (I was rather impressed with myself that I can still reach), I watched a movie & read in bed. Glorious! All though I was having a great time, Doug was struggling with Gavin just a bit when it came to bed time. He had set him up in his own tent with the pack n play, but Gavin wanted nothing to do with it & after only a matter of minutes Doug heard that wretched cough of his & new 'it' was coming. Yep, he made it back in the tent just in time to grab Gavin out of the tent & he threw up! This kid is killing us with his little vomit episodes. So Doug put him in his tent & they slept together on the air mattress which apparently was slowly deflating as the night went on. My poor husband! What a trooper to do it on his own. :) He did say that up until bed time they were having a lot of fun! Gavin & his bud Collin were loving the campfire, catching frogs, eating treats & just being boys.

Rise & Shine

After getting up they all made breakfast together before heading down to the lake. The church property up at Seneca Lake is wonderful. They have canoes & boats you can take out & there is a swimming dock too.

Chris & Doug making pancakes, eggs & sausage. Yum!

Gavin & Doug out on the canoe. When I saw this picture I couldn't help but think how big my boy is getting!

Jumping off the swim dock with Collin, Roland & Dad.

They made it back home in the late afternoon & I was glad to have my boys back. As much as I loved having a pampered night & all Saturday to clean & organize to myself, I really missed them.

Your wording at the beginning kinda cracks me up! haha! But I am glad you had some alone time to relax. I am just quite a bit jealous! I'm glad Gavin had his buddy to hang out with! That first pic looks like Collin is trying to cast a spell or something. Ha!

Hope you guys are enjoying Utah!

How nice to have a night alone! I'm dreaming of the day I get to be by myself for more than 20 minutes haha. I'm loving all the projects you are doing! I'm going to try the same headband, but the crocheted way like on the original tutorial..I'll let you know how it goes!
