So we are now back to Buffalo after spending a few weeks in Utah with family & friends. I realize now as I'm looking through all my pictures that I should have been posting from Utah as events took place. There are a LOT! So to not make this a never ending post I will just post as things happened.
Gavin & I flew out a little early because some of my high school girlfriends had planned a little getaway trip down to St. George with no husbands or children. How could I not partake in that?!
We spent one morning laying out by the pool & soaking up some sun. I can't explain how wonderful this was. Seriously, not having a child to worry about & watch was pure bliss. I can't remember the last time that I was able to do so little poolside. :) We grabbed lunch & changed & hit up the outlets for a little shopping. Why is it when you plan on shopping, you can never find a thing? I only came out of that with a new pair of shades since I forgot mine. Good buy non the less.
After we rested & got cleaned up we went out to eat at Samurai 21 for dinner. I love hibachi grills! I think this was the first time ever that our cook was white & spoke English as their first language. He was a chatter box which was different, but fun. After we had some time to kill so a few of the girls got pedicures. Then we were off to Tuacahn. I have never been there before so it was a lot of fun to experience the outdoor theatre. Grease was a fun show that you could sing-a-long with. In fact, Jami & I started doing hand actions to one song & thought it odd that our other friends didn't join right in. tee-hee! :)
{Rachelle, Me, Jami, Court & Heidi}We missed Holly, Em, Lisa & Laura as they were not able to make the trip.
Our good friends Bron & Megan Shaheen are from St. George & they were there visiting family since they've recently moved from Buffalo. Well that Sunday was the day they blessed their little girl Rubi.
This trip was so much fun! It definitely wasn't long enough, but the time we spent together was wonderful. I'm so glad to be able to say that I am still close with 8 of the dear friends from high school. I find that pretty rare indeed. Thanks girls for such a great trip! I'm so grateful to my parents, Laura & in-laws for watching Gavin so that I could have a nice getaway.
