{Happy Birthday Doug}

Yesterday was Doug's 27th Birthday! Welcome to the 'old' club honey. ;)
(because my bday is 2 months before his, he always teases me about being 'so old'. Good thing it only lasts 2 months) With being a Sunday, it kind of makes it hard to a lot for birthdays. But I planned ahead & had everything ready anyhow.

Birthday Breakfast!
I LOVE doughnuts, but Doug considers them more of a dessert vs breakfast food. I so disagree! Anyhow, we rarely get them & a while back I learned that our friends the Evans always get them on birthdays. I think it is such a fun tradition to have & so we have begun the same tradition in our home. These are probably the best doughnuts I've had. Paula's Donuts are divine! So good that they are open from 4am-10pm. Crazy hours, but it's obvious they are a hit! And doesn't he look handsome all ready for church?

After church he got to take a nap & we were simply lazy all day. The best!

We had some friends over to wish him Happy Birthday & help us eat some cake & ice cream.

He was pretty stoked when he saw what was on his cake. His birthday wish did come true after all....a new snowmobile!

Making a wish for the upcoming year.....

He actually blew out all 27 candles in one breath too! What a man. :)
I think it's safe to say that he had a pretty good day.
