We had the Evans over for dinner on Sunday & then we busted out all the makings for Gingerbread Houses. I think this is such a fun activity to do. Well, when everything goes according to plan. Things were working out great at the start, but when we were attaching the roof, it all came crashing down. ARGH!!! At first I wanted to call it quits, but seeing how successful the Evans were at their little village, we couldn't give up. So we just decided to go with a flat roof instead. :) Not the prettiest of houses, but fun none the less.
I must admit we all got caught snitching the goodies :)
SNOW!!!!
Yesterday it was snowing ALL day long! Doug shoveled before he left for school. I shoveled in the afternoon & then he shoveled again last night. CRAZY! As cold as it is & as much of a pain it is to drive & run around in, it sure is beautiful to look at. Gavin hasn't been able to explore it much since the only time we're out in it is running errands etc. So last night while Doug was shoveling, he bundled Gavin up & he was daddy's little helper.
Gavin is almost 15 months old!
Weight: 25 lbs (60%)
Height: (40%)
Head: still off the chart ;)
Things about Gavin:
*He sleeps 11ish hours at night
*Takes 1 nap lately for a couple hours (except for today. He just woke up after 1 1/2) blah!
*Loves his milk & asks for it as soon as I walk in his room each morning
* He loves Baby Signing Time & Barney
*He is such a Daddy's boy
*Still only has 4 teeth (the laterals are about there)
*He has a special hiding spot & visits there often
*He loves his books & loves pulling them all off the shelf too
*He likes to sweep the kitchen floor
*He has recently picked up a new favorite word...NO NO!
I hate that he has learned this already & I know I don't help because I think
it is the cutest how he says it. So I get him to say it a lot :)
*He loves to play outside
*He is getting better when I leave him places. Still cries at first, but I always pick him up happy.
*Loves candy & sweets. He must get that from his dad or something. ;)
We love Gavin & can't get enough of him! It is so fun to see his personality develop.

I love his beanie...where ever did he get it?!?!
I haven't made a gingerbread house in foreeever so kudos to all 4 of you! They all turned out great!
Gingerbread houses. How fun it's been years since we've done it but every time we have it's been fun-especially eating the goodies that make it a gingerbread house. Gavin is so cute, too. Only 3 months and he'll be in nursery.
What a fun time gingerbread house making is! A challenge but a fun one. I think the Shaw and Evans' handiwork looks great. You had a mini festival of trees gingerbread house display. Loved the video of Gavin outdoors helping Doug. So...cute. The JibJab is awesome. Love the moves!
I love the Flat house...that is prob how mine would have turned out too! Love ya!
