3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party

This is a party that we always look forward to hosting each Christmas season. It was our
3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Party! We have a white elephant gift exchange that is always a riot. This year we gave the returning Pink Unicorn & then needed to come up with something new. I found this idea online & thought it was hilarious. We bought a large box of chocolates. Pretty sweet gift right? Well you might be saying to yourself that that isn't truly 'white elephant'. So if you look below, you'll see how we modified that box of chocolates. :)

Doug & Gavin had fun eating a few of them. Well, taking bites out of them anyways. I put the above picture on a card & included it in the box of chocolates for the recipient to have. Too funny! Creed opened it, but it went home with Travis.

The spread of food this year was a hit! Everything was so yummy. Buffalo Wing dip, Artichoke dip, fruit, ham/green onion roll ups, water chesnuts wrapped in bacon, cranberry salsa, mint brownies & a Christmas chocolate trifle. Delicious!

Here are all the wrapped White Elephant Gifts. I guess everyone had the 'Go big or go home' motto this year.

The gifts this year were great too! Everyone did a great job. Here is Bron with his present. A backpack picnic basket. We were all dieing over this one! Check out that look on his face. Priceless!

This was such a fun way to celebrate the holiday season with our friends. It's kind of sad that it's the last one with most of them. :(

Saturday was an ornament exchange party that I actually participated in this year. :) You only had to make one home made ornament & we did a game to exchange. I didn't get a picture of mine darn it! It turned out really pretty & sparkly too!

So now I've just been packing away trying to get ready for our trip out to UTAH!!!!
We leave in just a few hours & we couldn't be more thrilled for our final destination. Not so thrilled about the flying with a 15 month old, but it will all be worth it in the end :) I'm just glad my friend Stephanie will be on the same flight. It's just nice knowing you have someone.
