Doug & I were married on October 6, 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. We are currently living in the Dallas, Texas area. We have two sons, Gavin Douglas born September 18, 2009 & Liam Robert born October 14, 2011. We are so happy to be a family of four & love our boys so much! It is always one adventure after another in this house.

Independence Day

We had a great weekend celebrating the 4th of July! It started out Saturday morning with a breakfast at our friends Megan & Bron's place. Everything was so yummy! I just love breakfast foods. We had a good time visiting, watching the kids play & eating.

This was Gavin's first time driving. {in the lil' tykes car that is} He loved that thing! I'm pretty sure he sat in it the entire time. Guess I'll be keeping my eye out for one at garage sales. My sister sent Gavin his little 4th of July outfit a few weeks prior. He looked so cute in his little star shorts & T-shirt. Thanks Aunt Laura!

That evening our ward hosted a BBQ at the stake center. Doug was MTA {missing THE action} He & the Young Men held a carwash fundraiser for scout camp. They actually made a pretty good amount too! Way to be boys!

With Sunday being the actual holiday we just HAD to have another get together. :)
We had some friends over to our place for a little BBQ & Kan Jam. Everyone brought yummy sides to share. I just had to take a picture of the Flag Fruit Pizza that Steph made. So cute! And Camille made Flag Jello, but the heat caused the fruit to seep under the cool whip. So no picture. It sure was tasty though! The evenings here are so great! I could just sit outside all night. We had fun just hangin out! Doug had some little friends as long as he fed them. It was funny how they all sort of flocked his way when he sat down with a plate of goodies.
It was a great weekend celebrating the freedoms of our country with our friends!

LoVeD that weekend. Can we do it again? :) Thanks for hosting us on the actual day. Your backyard is the best.

So I know you're not leaving for 2 more days but somehow it already feels like you're gone! I'm in mourning. :(

P.S. thanks for providing us with a date night. It was much needed. We are in your debt!
