So this is kind of a random post of....you guessed it! More Gavin!!! It's so funny to me how once you have a child, that is all you find yourself talking about & taking pictures of. Hopefully I will be as good about it with our future children. Anyways, I just wanted to share some of the things that we've been up to lately.
Ever since I finished the nursery I wanted to have my child's name in there somewhere. I know, very typical of a mormon mom right?! ;) Well we didn't know what we were going to name our baby until after he was born. So I couldn't get it done prior. And here I am 5 months later & finally getting it done. I am however very happy with how it turned out! What do you think?

So the last week or so Gavin gets really fussy when it's his late afternoon nap time. He just won't calm down & fights it so badly. Doug was trying to get him down & he just wouldn't stop crying! I was in the other room & then all of a sudden he just stopped. Doug came out with a huge smile on his face & told me to come look. I thought maybe he just wanted me to see how cute & peaceful Gavin was or something....this is what I saw!
That's right! Doug said he was laying on the bed tickling Gavin's face & it wasn't working so he was getting up off the bed & the pillow just fell down onto Gavin & that is when he just stopped & was completely out! This kid just cracks me up! No worries grandmas & fellow mommies, we took the pillow off once we knew he was truly asleep! ;)
Gavin has definitely found his toes! But he doesn't play with them much unless his pants are off. Who needs pants anyways right?! Too funny!
So Doug thinks it is just hilarious to dump all the laundry on Gavin & then play 'Where's Gavin?'
He must like it too by the expression on his face when we find him!
And for the big one: RicE CeREaL
I think Doug & I had more fun with this than he did. He didn't pull any funny faces & gobbled it right up! He likes holding his spoon & trying to feed himself.
My little man is just getting so big & so much fun! His little personality is coming out more & more with each day. He is so interactive & alert! He wants to always see what's going on!

I need to send you this picture of Maia when she was a baby...she loved to be swaddled up tight in a blanket and then sometimes the only way she would fall asleep is if we put the top part of the blanket over her head. So we have this pic of her in her bouncy seat completed swaddled and covered in a blanket...I think you can see her little foot sticking out the end. So funny the things they like!
The name looks great! Oh my gosh the laundry pic is soooo cute! It reminds me of the part in ET where he's hiding with the stuffed toys. No Rach, I'm not sayin Bubba's looks like ET...just similar set up ; ) I'm so bummed I missed the Skype today where he at all his cereal up :( I had to be at church early to do my Visiting Teaching.
He is so cute!! oh my goodness. I love the name! It turned out great. One day my little one will have a room and i'll need to come to you for ideas like that. He is getting so big. Love the cute video.

Wow the Gavin sign is adorable!
The framed letters turned out terrific. Looks very nice. From yesterdays skype and the "movie" of his first cereal day he is already getting the hang of it. So...very cute! And the pic of him peeking out of the "whites" is great.

His name turned out great on the wall. I like the contrast with the color and the stripes on the wall, too.AND BABY IS JUST TOO, TOO CUTE!!Enjoy every minute - it is too soon past.
Gotta love the rice cereal! That stuff can get so messy! I love his name on the wall! You did a great job! That's so funny that he fell asleep with the pillow on his face! Ever since Lando was born, that's how he's been! He has to have his little blanket on his face or else he freaks out! It's funny how fast kids start to get their own quirky little personalities! So, I'm totally blog stocking right now, but whatever... lol I'm friends with Laura Nielsen and I just happened upon your blog, but I have a little girl your son's age, and I noticed the pic with the pillow on his face... Olivia cannot, and I mean cannot fall to sleep unless her little blanket stuffed animal is touching her face. Its pretty funny... So crazy what soothes our little ones! Anyway, cute cute boy you've got!
