So a ways back Doug & I were driving in the car & we noticed on the side of the road a small desk. We decided to pull over & check it out. I have been looking & wanting a desk to put my sewing machine on & this was the perfect size, but needed a lot of love! We threw it in the back of our car & took our new FREE treasure home. That is one of the perks of living in this city...great curb shopping! I didn't get a picture of the desk as it was when we found it. It was wobbly & a drawer front was off. Doug worked his magic & fixed it all! Then he started sanding it. That is when we remembered to take a BEFORE picture:
And then with a little paint & some 'antiquing'.....WuLaH!
I am absolutely in love with how it turned out! Doug & I had a lot of fun with it & I can't wait to get my little area all set up & ready to use!

I think I like the anitque look over a color better than just cream or white... it's really cute! I loved your "one year" post. I think I'll do one too. So hard to believe a year is already over. I feel like I never want this experience to end...I wonder if I'll still think that in three years? :) Yummy cake tonight!
