So is it just me or does time really just fly by? It was a year ago today that Doug & I pulled up to our home on South Huxley in the GIANT yellow penske truck. :) I can remember it like it was yesterday. First off, Doug was so awe struck by looking at the house he hit our neighbors basketball hoop & knocked it over. Great first impression! Our grass was over grown (it had already been mowed by our dear friend Creed too) Walking into the house was weird, but exciting. It was completely empty with cob webs forming, dust gathered & honestly...not at all what I remembered the house looking like when we walked through it the ONE time before we bought it. I don't think I've even told Doug this, but that first night I called my mother to let her know we made it there safe & I just started crying. I told her I didn't know what we had gotten ourselves into. There was a lot of work to be done! I simply got over it & put on my determination face & we started right away on making this empty house our beautiful home. I know I've posted pics already of our before & afters, but I just want to show how far our little house has come over the past year.

We have had a lot of fun working on our home & look forward to the work that is still to come. We have a few projects for this summer before our little bambino arrives!

I can't believe it has been a year either! Crazy how time flies. Your house is so cute and I hope I get to come visit sometime before you move back home!

HOLY CRAP!!! yay I found you and you are not 27 weeks pregnant. Are you serious. You look absoulutely fabulous. I am so so happy for you guys. Your house looks amazing, I cannot believe everything you have done to it, what a perfect home. I can't believe you've been there a year.

There's an old saying about taking a sow's ear and turning it into a silk purse and that is just what you and Doug have done. You guys saw the possibilities in that little house and you have made it beautiful. You should be proud of yourselves.
