We were really excited to celebrate Thanksgiving out here in Buffalo! Of coarse it wasn't the same without family, but we have some really great friends out here & decided to all celebrate together! I spent the morning watching the Macy Parade & baking the dinner rolls & a cherry pie. This was my first time ever making these homemade & completely on my own. I did however make a few phone calls to my sweet mother during the process. Our friends Dave & Crescent Marchant were so kind to have us, the Evan's, the Shaheen's, the Fox's & some single dental students over to their home for Turkey Dinner. Everyone pitched in & brought some delicious food! We had so much in fact that there wasn't enough room on my plate for a serving of everything. So obviously there were going to be seconds! :)
Friday I spent the day getting out all of our Christmas decorations & that night our friends Creed & Tiffany invited us over for a Gingerbread house building/Egg Nog/Hot Chocolate date night. It was a lot of fun!
The delicious Hot Chocolate that Creed made for all of us!
Then...
Saturday afternoon I went & saw TWILIGHT with Megan & Stephanie. I really liked it! It made me want to re-read the books. It was very entertaining even with a few little teenie-boppers sitting next to us with their silly laughs & reactions. :)

Then... Just kidding! You've had enough for now I'm sure. :)

Your pie turned out so pretty! Good work!
Sounds like a great holiday! And what an amazing pie you talented woman!I too wish we could come to Utah for Christmas, I wish we had a car to fit us all or money to fly!
Good job on the homemade pie and rolls. Looks like you had a really good thanksgiving weekend. I liked Twilight too and, of course, I probably sounded like one of the teenie bopper girls screaming when Edward came out in the cafeteria scene. I know, I know. :)
You guys always do such fun stuff! I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving away from home. I went to Twilight too...but I had to hold Beckham in the hall so I didn't enjoy it as much so I need to go again! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
Happy Thanksgiving!! It looks like everything was a success- way to go! Only 14 days for me (13 for you) until we go home, Hooray!
Oh my, oh my, what a beautiful pie!! Hahah! I love you!
What wonderful friends you have there! Your pie looks amazing. I am so impressed.
Also I can't get over your hair studio/salon/space. Doug is quite impressive. I can't believe he found the time to do that with school. Must be true love.
Love you both lots and can't wait to see you soon!
It looks like you had a GREAT Thanksgiving!!! Your pie looks so beautiful! I told myself that I am going to make a homemade pie for Christmas this year...we'll see how that goes!
The pie looks great. I'm impressed. I bought mine this year. I liked Twilight as well. I hope to see it again soon. I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Hope to see you over Christmas.
So when I read your comment about forgetting you at Turkey dinner, I was so confused. I had to go back and check... oops! I seriously think my brain automatically assumes that wherever we go, people should just assume that you are there too! Haha. Well I like your post- does look a lot like mine haha :) I'm glad other people can benefit from my obsessive habits!
Yay for Thanksgiving! It looks like you guys have a great group up there! I'm glad you liked twilight! I did too, I kind of want to see it again! Can't wait to see you!
Rachel are you sure that was the first pie you have ever made? That pie looks way to professional to be a first time attempt, and you didn't even use a store bought crust, very impressive.
O dang it! I would love to sit and talk to you about Twilight. I always loved discussing movies and tv shows with you. Whad up with One Tree Hill...it's back to being good:) Do you watch Gossip girl?
Wow, wow, wow! What fun you have. Your pie looks fantastic and your friends are right - very professional. Way to go girl!
Loved you cookie train. Very cute. Looks like you all had a great time.
