ToROnTo

We decided on a whim to journey on up to Toronto with our friends Bron & Megan last week. We blended in so well with our maps, cameras and lost expressions that you would have never guessed that it was our first time in Toronto. :) We stayed at a hotel downtown which was great because we were in walking distance of a lot!


We went down to ChINaToWN, the Kensington Market, a really fun street that was all ViNtAGe shops and of coarse the huge Eaton Center Mall.


That night we got all dressed up & went to dinner at the SpRinG RoLL. I really enjoyed the atmosphere & the food was pretty good.

After dinner, we wanted to go somewhere else for dessert so we could check out another restaurant. We weren't sure where to go so we asked a group of police officers. Of coarse all the guys didn't have a clue, but without fail, the lady officer spoke right up & told us about the Pickle Barrel. We had a yummy brownie sundae! After that we went back to the hotel, and Megan & I were completely content to get in our comfies & watch a movie. ;) But, Bron & Doug were adament about not calling it a night. They wanted to find Duffs. For those that don't know, Duffs is a restaurant here in Buffalo that serves amazing buffalo wings. They had heard that there was one in Toronto. I don't think I've seen two guys come up with as many reasons why you should go to Duffs at 11pm in Toronto than those two. It was pretty comical. :) Needless to say, we went to our 3rd restaurant for the evening.





We spent the next day at the HarbourFront. It was a lot of fun! We took the ferry over to Ward & Center Island. That was my favorite part. There were a lot of walking/bike trails, a petting zoo & a small amusement park for kids. I want to go back and ride bikes around. We went to a small beach & walked around. It was really pretty!

We had a great little getaway before school started & love that we have so many great places to visit out here!
