The Shaw Family

Doug & I were married on October 6, 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. We are currently living in the Dallas, Texas area. We have two sons, Gavin Douglas born September 18, 2009 & Liam Robert born October 14, 2011. We are so happy to be a family of four & love our boys so much! It is always one adventure after another in this house.

FuN TiMEs!

I just wanted to share some of the fun things we have been up to lately. We have gone to Crystal Beach 3 times already & we love it! It is so nice to just drive 30 minutes & be on a beach! :) I could seriously go everyday!

Sean, Kendra, Megan, Bron, Me & Doug

Doug & the boys went kayaking on a river not too far from here. I guess I don't really know how long this type of sport takes, but they were gone for like 8 hours! I should have been worried, but I wasn't. I was just bored! :)

Our friend Briste has been so great about keeping us posted on all these fun things to do here in Buffalo. The latest was the Garden Walk. Every summer for two days, people in the downtown areas allow anyone to take a self-guided tour throughout their gardens. As much as our hubbies would have loved to look at flowers, we decided to make it a girls day out! So me, Briste & Steph and of coarse our trusty map headed down town.

We went through some really beautiful yards/gardens. I don't know how these people keep everything alive! I don't think I would ever be able to participate in the Garden Walk.

Seriously...I am coming to visit. There is so much to do there. You can't do that here in lame-o Utah. (I actually love Utah, I would just love to travel and experience some different things) I am a bit jealous!

I am so glad you are having a blast!

I LOVE your new background. It's the type of style I was looking for to begin with, but couldn't find! The Garden Walk was fun! Maybe someday we'll be the slightly eccentric old ladies giving random strangers a ride and tour of the city! :)

What a fun thing to do! The gardens are beautiful. They have something similar here but I've never done it but it looks like you had fun so maybe I'll give it a whirl next year.

Next time Doug goes kayaking you might want to go with him (not for so many hours though) it looks fun. I always enjoyed my little thirty minute kayaking moments at Lake Powell but I don't think I'd be able to move if I'd done it for 8 hours!
