Thursday night was the dinner for the graduating class. It was at a hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale. I cannot remember the name for the life of me. It was fun getting all dressed up to celebrate this huge accomplishment of all 7 graduating residents.
Kind of a blurry picture of us, but it was the only one we got that night.
The graduating class with their littles (2nd years)
The SEVEN!
I love this picture because it shows how much fun these guys did have all together. It was fun getting to know his fellow residents over the last 2 1/2 years.
Now these three were somethin else. Always goofin off & having each others backs as there were outnumbered by women. :) I'm so grateful Doug got to become such great friends with Kevin & Glenn.
The dinner was delicious & it was fun watching the slideshow of pictures over the last 2 1/2 years of residency. There were a TON of pictures of Doug sleeping in lectures! Haha! After the slideshow they 2nd years put on a little diddy that was about their 'bigs'. Sunny wrote the whole thing rap style & it was hilarious! Such a fun night with some great people.
Friday was the graduation ceremony at campus. It was small & perfect! The speakers weren't too wordy which was a blessing as I had the boys with me. I wanted them to be apart of seeing their Dad graduate as this is such a big accomplishment. It's so important to me that my kids know how important it is to get an education & strive & work hard for your dreams.
These two chatting away with the Dean.
We are so proud of our Daddy for sticking with it through all the ups & downs. He's officially done being a student. It's been 9 1/2 years of schooling for this man.
We would have gotten a picture of these two anyways, but especially since they were color coordinated. Glenn & Doug have a great bond & relationship. Most of their classmates teased them about having a bromance. Haha!
Dr. Douglas Shaw & Dr. Glenn Krieger
We are so excited to be heading to Dallas, Texas with him & his wonderful family as we jointly take on new business endeavors together. It's crazy that this day is FINALLY here! WAHOO!
