Mother's Day Assembly

I was looking forward to this day all week long. Gavin invited me to come and attend a special Mother's Day Assembly that he & his fellow classmates/classes have been working on. I had no idea what to expect as he was quite clear for the month leading up to it that it was a surprise. We were only told to wear our Sunday best & that no siblings were allowed. So thankfully, my friend Michele took Liam for me. When I got there we had a photo taken of just the two of us. 

And then he went off to class & the rest of us moms just found seats in the chapel. When I saw the bleachers all set up I knew it was going to be songs that were sung for us & was couldn't have been more excited.

 It was so cute watching them reverently file in the chapel & get into their spots on the stage.

 My handsome Gavin spotted me & couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear. He was just as excited to perform for his momma as I was to watch him. :)

After the show we got to move into the cafeteria & have a little tea party with our cute kids.

Our places were all set with these cute mats that the kids made. The theme for the whole thing was "My Picture Perfect Mom". 

It was such a special day & I'm so grateful that my sweet Gavin wanted to share it with me. I sure love being his mom!
