March was rather random & busy so here are all our happenings for the month.
Playing over at Saharas house often results in this. If you can't beat em, join em. Haha! Love having this for black mail one day. Especially that my boys have big ol smiles & poses going on. tee hee!
Liam struggles going to Gavin's tball practices & not being able to join in. Well let's be honest he usually does. But we do attempt to keep him occupied else where. Like here for example.
At the mall activity Liam chose to be Flash!
Gavin's classmate Tyson had the whole class over one day for a playdate. These kiddos play & interact so well with each other. There was not one fight or argument that us moms had to break up the whole 2 hours we were there. It was glorious.
Hulk smash!
Before Doug headed out of town again for yet another conference we took the boys to the Game Room for some family fun. The boys were running around like they were on crack. It was hilarious!
I just love my little family with all my heart. We always have such a good time together. :)
It's hard when Doug leaves town because we miss him dearly. And mom doesn't get that break she looks forward to every day when he comes home to help out. Haha! But we seem to manage just fine. Most of the time. Although it doesn't really help when he sends me pictures like this.
Oh to have a super nice hotel room all to yourself. I wonder what that's like?
I am glad that he gets to travel & escape the everyday routine of clinic, classes & fatherhood & just be Doug. He deserves all the fun he can squeeze in while attending those long boring conferences.
Kevin, Glenn & Doug out on the town in Nashville. He said it was pretty sweet with all the places playing live music.
While Doug was gone the kids & I went with some friends to the park for dinner one night. The Steels brought their go cart & Mason was kind enough to give the boys a ride. They loved it!
While Gavin was at school I took Liam to a little Mommy & Me Music class. The theme for that day was St. Patricks Day. How cute is my lil leprechaun?
After the music class I decided to have a little lunch date with Liam. He's usually being dragged along on errands while Gavin is in school or having play dates with other moms & toddlers, but we rarely do anything fun just the two of us. We went to Panera & got grilled cheese sandwiches & soup. Yum!
I had such a good time with my lil man. And I could tell that he really enjoyed it too. It's so important to have one on one time with our kids & sadly, we're not very good at it. But after this I definitely want to make more of an effort to do so.
Aunt Laura & I took the boys to see Mr. Peabody & Sherman. I had never watched the original cartoons before, but it was still very cute & we all liked it.
We hit up the pool one Saturday afternoon & I had spaced bringing a swim diaper for Liam. This is the result of forgetting the swim diaper. The Soggy Diaper Dance.
This kid sure knows how to strike a pose & dance to get everyone smiling & laughing. And I just had to send Dad a video. This was a moment not to forget. Haha!
{St. Patrick's Day}
The boys had fun coming out of their rooms to see that the leprechaun had left a trail of gold that led them to their breakfast.
Who doesn't love rolos for first thing in the morning. :)
I saw this idea on Pinterest & it actually was very easy to do. Separate your batter into different bowls & use food coloring to make rainbow colors. Start with blue in the center of the waffle iron & just work your way out putting the batter in a circle. Once it's cooked, break in half & you've got yourself two rainbow waffles. They loved them!
I got to go into Gavin's class for the snack time & we did shamrocks on toast.
Love this cute lil leprechaun of mine!
When word got out that a new Sonic Drive In opened up I was stoked! I think I went there 3 times in one week just for a Cherry Limeade. Haha! Gotta love that pebble ice.
We try to attend NOVA'S library for story time as much as we remember too. We sure lucked out this day because it was Fire Truck Day. These firemen...eek people I don't know what's politically correct to say for a woman in the field. Haha. Anyways, they read the stories to the kids & had a Q&A about fire safety.
Then we got to go outside to see the truck & all it's equipment & their gear.
Cordy & Liam and then some random kid we don't know.
They had just finished explaining to the kids that they shouldn't be scared of them in their gear. They are there to help & we should always go to them & not run away. This fireman had the mask off two seconds before this picture & Liam was still terrified to go near him. Even though he really wanted a picture. So mom had to step in.
But he didn't have a problem asking to wear his helmet. Such a cute fire buddy!
That night I got to go to the hospital to visit my sweet friend Michele who had just delivered her fourth boy. Little Gabe is such a cutie & I'm not going to lie, holding him was stirring something inside of me. She looked amazing & I was thrilled to hear everything went so well. They maternity ward had just been remodeled & was opened just days prior to her delivering. Lucky girl!

Out for a family dinner date & these two boys insisted on wearing their cowboy boots. I never tell them no because it makes me smile every time I see them running around in them. :)
Down here in Florida you don't get the usual signs of spring. So when we see the little duckies walking around with their mama's we just smile that it's that time of year.
