Doug's Birthday Cruise

We boarded the ship on Sunday afternoon & spent the next couple hours exploring & touring the ship. Like I mentioned before it wasn't some deluxe/luxury boat, but it was just fine. :)

We lounged around on the upper deck people watching (the best thing ever on a cruise) & eating some ice cream. That first night we had dinner at a Brazilian buffet & then went to the evening show. It was a singer/impersonator who was fabulous. She did spot on impersonations of some very popular singers/artists. That was a lot of fun!

Monday morning we were docked at Grand Bahama Island. We headed out with a group that had signed up for snorkeling & then the day at the beach resort. I was pretty excited about snorkeling, but we were a little nervous as it was pretty chilly around 75 degrees. I know, I know, but we've turned into Florida babies when it comes to temperature. Haha!

On the boat getting ready to go snorkel.

We had a blast swimming around together. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty annoying that we had to stay with our guide. He kept calling out, "Hello! Hellllooo!" to get everyone's attention. Pretty funny & obnoxious. Oh well.

We met another couple who was pretty cool so we kinda stuck together the rest of the day at the resort & on the beach. Us girls laid out for a bit while the guys played ping pong. Then we got a big game of volleyball going. And somehow, Doug & I ended up on opposite teams. Not the best track record for our relationship competing against each other, but this time we broke that streak & had a good clean game. Haha!

We did a little shopping for souvenirs before boarding the ship that late afternoon. We had dinner reservations at 6:00 so we had to hurry & clean up & get ready.

We ate at the Crystal Room which was a 5 course dining experience. :) The food was fabulous & our server was awesome!

After dinner we had some time to kill before the show started so we just went up on deck to enjoy the night air. And let's be honest, you can't be on a cruise ship & not think about the Titanic. Haha!

Loved getting dressed up with my main squeeze. It was so much fun being together. I'm one lucky girl.

This was during the little Cirque act this couple did. Pretty talented & daring!
We stayed for the adult comedy show, which we knew would probably push some limits, but man oh man. It's like the call it adult just so they can see how many times they drop the F-word. Not my thing at all, but oh well. We stayed late after & danced the night away. Well until about 1:30 AM anyways. That's all night if you ask me. We did just turn 30 after all. :)

We had to get off the boat pretty early on Tuesday because Doug had patients he had to see around lunch time. It was a short & sweet getaway that was soooo much fun! Glad we got to do it to celebrate Doug's 30th year. Happy Birthday!

What a wonderful way to celebrate Doug's Birthday. A perfect get-a-way. Looks like you both had a lot of fun snorkeling and enjoying the beauties below the surface!
